Laurie has worked as a paralegal since 1993 and has been with the firm since 2016. While working full-time at the Fourth District Court and rising through the ranks, Laurie attended and graduated from Utah Valley University with a paralegal degree. She later attended Brigham Young University and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Intelligence with a minor in History. Laurie is a licensed paralegal with the Utah State Bar and is actively involved in Paralegal Association of the Utah State Bar events, including the Wills for Heroes program.
Laurie uses her considerable paralegal multitasking skills and customer service experience to help families in transition by providing detailed support to the attorneys and her clients. From complex cases to simple uncontested divorces, she is involved from beginning to end. Laurie provides clients with regular contact and updates. Communication is key. She manages the discovery process, coordinates the case deadlines, maintains client case files, and drafts pleadings and letters. Laurie is integral in preparing for mediations, case evaluations, hearings and trials.
